Project Example Shipbuilding

AIDA Stella S695

Meyer Werft, holding a global market share of around 40%, is the leading manufacturer of cruise ships. For the AIDA Stella S695, the shipyard entrusted Phereclus with all painting and corrosion protection work inside and outside – a first for projects of this size.

Our services included derusting, blasting, grinding, edge rounding, puttying and cleaning work, as well as painting the underwater hull and deck. We were also responsible for project planning, material logistics, site setup, hazard analysis, and occupational safety.

At peak times, up to 120 employees were deployed simultaneously. The close coordination with the shipyard’s site management enabled precise alignment with all phases and changes in the construction process – a key success factor.

The fact that, for the first time, all such services were awarded to a single company is a clear sign of trust and appreciation for our quality and reliability.

Project Example Structures

Second Strelasund Crossing

Construction of the second Strelasund crossing (Rügen Bridge), one of Germany’s longest bridge structures, began in 2004 with the first cast-in-place foundation. The centerpiece of the 4,100-meter crossing is the 2,831-meter bridge over the Strelasund. The three-lane high bridge was completed in 2007.

The project cost amounted to 125 million euros. Phereclus was commissioned by Max Bögl Stahl- und Anlagenbau GmbH & Co KG to provide corrosion protection. Our responsibilities included planning, hazard analysis, material procurement, site setup, and of course, execution. We also handled personnel and logistics planning entirely. Naturally, strict occupational safety measures had to be observed, and during execution we were subject to continuous quality controls.

The quality of our work is now enjoyed daily by crew members and owners of world-renowned luxury yachts. Our ISO 9001-certified service portfolio covers all common technical standards in surface treatment and derusting – while also meeting the high aesthetic expectations of our customers.

Our yacht team staff have many years of experience in corrosion protection and surface treatment. Painting new objects, maintenance work, and repainting high-end luxury yachts are familiar territory. Our team has contributed to projects such as:
